A subscription
to the Crones Cradle Farm to Fare gardening program will
enchant your palette and delight your eye. Fresh organic
produce is provided to individuals and families of our
community directly from our gardens.
Advantages
of a Farm to Fare subscription share from Crones'
Cradle:
- The food in your Farm to Fare
subscription basket is picked on the morning of the day
you receive it;
- Your food has not spent weeks
inside a refrigerated storage unit;
- You have
spent your grocery money with a local farmer, thereby
encouraging the local economy;
- Local travel
from our farm to Ocala uses far less fossil fuel than
transporting food across oceans and continents;
- You may visit our gardens, talk to your farmer,
share the joy of a prolific crop or the sorrow of a
failed one;
- You are a familiar member of this
community, a community that raises food for you.
Our gardens are lovingly tended with great care
paid to nourishment, variety, flavor and beauty. Your
weekly share contains enough food to provide vegetables
for a family of four for a week. We constantly
search for new vegetables which will grow well in our
sub-tropical climate. We choose only those which are
tasty, nutritious and easy to prepare
Crones'
Cradle’s season opens in October with a lovingly
arranged weekly basket filled with fresh vegetables,
herbs, fresh brown farm eggs and often a canned product
or goodie tucked in. We include recipes for unfamiliar
vegetables, giving you a chance to enjoy new tastes and
nourishments. We hope you will also enjoy our weekly
farm update.
